About the role

As a General Ledger Accountant at Handling Innovation, Inc.', you will play a vital role in maintaining the company's financial records and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. This full-time position is based in Paranaque City Metro Manila and will involve working closely with the finance team to support the organisation's strategic objectives.

What you'll be doing

  1. Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the general ledger, including recording transactions, reconciling accounts, and preparing account analyses
  2. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards
  3. Collaborate with various departments to collect, review, and analyse financial data, identifying trends and anomalies
  4. Participate in the monthly close process, ensuring all accounts are reconciled and properly documented
  5. Support the preparation of audit schedules and liaise with external auditors as needed
  6. Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of internal controls and accounting policies
  7. Provide financial information and analysis to support business decision-making

What we're looking for

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or with a recognized accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, or CIMA)
  2. 1-4 years of experience in a general ledger accounting or financial reporting role, preferably in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
  3. Strong understanding of financial accounting principles, standards, and practices
  4. Proficient in the use of accounting software and spreadsheet applications (e.g., Excel)
  5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide insights
  6. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
  7. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders
  8. Collaborative mindset and the ability to work as part of a team
