ACCOUNTING ASSISTANTJob Description

Raquel Abbas Pharmaceuticals & General Merchandise is looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team. The Accounting Assistant will support the Accounting Department in managing financial records, processing payroll, handling billing and collection, and assisting with day-to-day accounting tasks to ensure smooth business operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and filing systems.
  • Prepare and process invoices, receipts, and other accounting documents.
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable transactions.
  • Call customers regarding payroll and follow up on outstanding balances to ensure payments are made on time.
  • Monitor and update customer payment records and coordinate with the sales team for collection status.
  • Assist in bank reconciliations, petty cash management, and expense monitoring.
  • Support payroll preparation and ensure accurate computation of salaries and deductions.
  • Prepare simple financial summaries and reports as required.
  • Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and government regulations (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, BIR).
  • Maintain confidentiality and integrity of financial data.
  • Perform other related accounting or administrative duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Graduate of Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Finance, or any related business course.
  • At least 1–2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping (experience in a pharmaceutical or distribution firm is an advantage).
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and basic accounting software.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be proactive, responsible, and a team player.
  • Demonstrates integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
