Job Summary:

The Project Engineer (Civil) is responsible for managing, coordinating, and supervising the civil and structural works of the project to ensure that all construction activities are carried out in accordance with approved plans, specifications, quality standards, and within the project timeline and budget. The role involves technical supervision, site coordination, and collaboration with consultants, subcontractors, and internal departments to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning and Coordination

  2. Assist the Project Manager in the preparation of project schedules, work breakdown structures, and resource allocation plans.

  3. Coordinate civil and structural works with other disciplines (architectural, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and sanitary).
  4. Participate in technical meetings, design reviews, and coordination with consultants and clients.

  5. Site Supervision and Implementation

  6. Oversee and monitor day-to-day civil and structural activities to ensure compliance with design drawings, specifications, and safety standards.

  7. Ensure that construction works are executed within schedule and quality requirements.
  8. Supervise subcontractors, skilled workers, and laborers, ensuring proper workmanship and productivity.

  9. Quality and Safety Compliance

  10. Implement quality control procedures and perform inspections to ensure conformity with approved plans and materials.

  11. Ensure compliance with project safety protocols and coordinate with the HSSE Department for site safety implementation.
  12. Verify testing of materials such as concrete, steel reinforcement, and other civil materials as required.

  13. Documentation and Reporting

  14. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.

  15. Maintain updated records of construction drawings, materials, and site instructions.
  16. Assist in the preparation of quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and as-built drawings.

  17. Technical and Administrative Support

  18. Review and evaluate shop drawings, requests for information (RFIs), and material submittals.

  19. Coordinate with procurement for material requests and ensure timely delivery to the site.
  20. Provide technical support and resolve site-related issues to prevent project delays.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. (Licensed or Non-Licensed)
  • At least 3–5 years of experience in building construction, preferably in vertical structures such as columbary, institutional, or commercial buildings.
  • Proficient in line and grade layout, leveling instruments (e.g., total station, theodolite, auto-level), and interpretation of structural plans.
  • Knowledgeable in construction methodologies, materials, and quality control.
  • Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and other relevant engineering software.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
