The GENERAL ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST is responsible to ensure that the company's cash account records are accurate and reconcile with bank transactions and ensuring the company's compliance of all applicable tax laws and regulations, preparation and timely filing of government returns and remittances.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Ensure payments posted in the system and checks/cash deposited into the bank are in balance.
  • Check and match collection receipts recorded in system against bank deposits.
  • Check and match disbursements recorded in system against bank withdrawals.
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliation report
  • Prepare journal entries for bank, debit and credit charges.
  • Identify and resolve all deposit and withdrawal discrepancies.
  • Audit actual daily collection in treasury counter against collection report.
  • Conduct surprise cash count of the treasury in-charge and cashier.
  • Prepares and submits monthly VAT reports online (BIR)
  • Prepares and submits monthly ESALES report online (BIR)
  • Monitor open accounts related to sales and vat reporting
  • Check monthly rental income account for vat report inclusion
  • Preparation and filing of all regulatory government returns
  • Checking of tax certificate for the Monthly Summary Alphalist of Withholding Taxes (sawt – 2306)
  • Checking of tax certificate for the quarter Summary Alphalist of Withholding Taxes (sawt – 2307) deadline.
  • Checking certificate of creditable tax withheld 2307 and 2306 of customers
  • Audit of cashier daily cash/card remittances.
  • Comply registration of meter stick, invoices
  • Prepare monthly remittance return of income taxes withheld on compensation (1601C)
  • Prepare quarterly income tax return (1702Q)
  • Prepare annual payroll related return (1604-E)

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

Educational Requirements: College Graduate preferably finance and accounting related courses.

Work Experience: Preferably 6 months to 1 year of work experience in related field.
