Dealer Development Officer (Appliances)
Job Description:
The Dealer Development Officer is responsible for identifying, developing, and supporting appliance dealers and retail partners.
He/She ensures that each dealer achieves sales targets, maintains proper product visibility, and upholds the brand's merchandising and service standards. The role involves coordination with sales, marketing, and logistics teams to support dealer operations and business expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and expand the dealer network for appliance products nationwide or by assigned region.
- Identify and evaluate potential dealers or distributors in strategic market areas.
- Negotiate and onboard new dealers, ensuring all sales and display requirements are met.
- Monitor dealer performance and assist in achieving monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Conduct regular dealer visits to assess display compliance, inventory health, and promotional activities.
- Work with marketing to implement product displays, brand visibility, and dealer marketing programs.
- Coordinate with logistics and accounting to ensure smooth order processing and payment collection.
- Provide sales training and product knowledge sessions for dealer staff and promodisers.
- Collect and analyze market feedback, competitor activities, and pricing trends.
- Prepare dealer performance reports and recommend strategies to strengthen weak accounts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years experience in appliance sales, dealer management, or distribution.
- Strong background in retail operations, negotiation, and field sales.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Proficient in MS Office / Excel, with analytical and reporting ability.
- Willing to travel and visit dealer branches regularly.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in the home appliances or consumer electronics industry.
- Knowledge of dealer pricing, consignment, and outright sales models.
- Ability to work independently with targets and KPIs.
Work Environment:
- Office-based with regular fieldwork / dealer visits.
- Coordinates closely with Sales, Marketing, and Logistics departments.
- Reports directly to the Sales Manager or General Manager.
