Remote Production Assistant – Film & Animation

Location: Remote (Philippines-based applicants encouraged)

Kapwa Studioworks is an award-winning Australian film and animation production company, telling bold stories with cultural depth, craft, and heart. We're looking for a Remote Production Assistant to join our team and support our growing slate of projects—including original animation, commercial productions, and long-form development. We're a small but mighty team of friendly producers, creatives, animators and designers.

This role is perfect for someone highly organized, proactive, and eager to learn the inner workings of film and animation production.

What You'll Do
  • Provide day-to-day production and administrative support to the producers and coordinators
  • Help manage the calendars and book meetings for the studio's producers and creative directors
  • Track schedules, deadlines, and deliverables across multiple projects
  • Assist with communications between international teams, studios, and freelancers
  • Help track job-call outs and crew call-out communications
  • Take clear meeting notes and circulate updates/action points
  • Help manage digital assets, documentation, and production tools
  • Support research, scheduling, and logistics for both development and active productions
What We're Looking For
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication (English)
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently
  • Familiarity with project management tools suck as Notion, Dropbox, Google Drive/Google Workspace
  • A background in film, animation, or creative industries is a plus—but enthusiasm and a willingness to learn go a long way
  • Reliable internet connection and ability to collaborate across time zones (Australia–Philippines)
  • Important: You have a secure private workstation and secure and private workspace (privacy at home or a co-working space).
  • You can work to Australian hours.
