MAINTENANCE TEAM LEAD
Position Summary
The Maintenance Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the daily maintenance operations of company facilities, equipment, and utilities. This role ensures that all maintenance activities are performed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. The Team Lead will supervise the maintenance team, schedule tasks, provide technical guidance, and coordinate with other departments to minimize downtime and optimize productivity.
Key Responsibilities
· Supervision & Leadership
o Lead, train, and supervise the maintenance staff to ensure effective performance.
o Assign and monitor daily tasks, ensuring timely completion.
o Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching to team members.
· Maintenance Operations
o Plan, prioritize, and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
o Troubleshoot and repair equipment, machinery, and facility issues.
o Ensure proper upkeep of tools, machines, and spare parts inventory.
o Review maintenance logs and ensure accurate documentation.
· Safety & Compliance
o Enforce compliance with safety protocols, company policies, and regulatory standards.
o Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment.
o Promote a culture of safety and preventive maintenance.
· Coordination & Communication
o Collaborate with other departments to schedule maintenance activities with minimal disruption.
o Report major issues and provide recommendations for improvements.
o Coordinate with external vendors and contractors when needed.
· Continuous Improvement
o Identify areas for operational efficiency and implement improvement initiatives.
o Stay updated on new technologies and methods in maintenance management.
Qualifications
· Education:
o Bachelor's degree or Technical/Vocational course in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field (preferred).
o Equivalent work experience may be considered.
· Experience:
o At least 3–5 years of experience in maintenance, with 1–2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
o Background in facilities, construction, or industrial maintenance is an advantage.
· Skills & Competencies:
o Strong leadership and team management skills.
o Technical expertise in electrical, mechanical, and building systems.
o Excellent problem-solving and decision-making ability.
o Good communication and interpersonal skills.
o Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
o Knowledge of preventive maintenance systems and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) is an advantage.
