Accounting and Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Accounting and Operations Manager. In this remote role, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting and operational tasks to support the smooth functioning of our organization. You will also be managing two associates.

Responsibilities:

Accounting:

  • Support live investments.
  • Record and process financial transactions across our different funds accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile contracts, bank, and credit card statements.
  • Prepare or coordinate with our fund administrator on financial reports, such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, or other custom reports.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, policies, and regulations.

Operations:

  • Process and track incoming and outgoing funds, including wire transfers and ACH payments.
  • Support ad-hoc requests for reports.
  • Assist with project management and operational planning.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to streamline operations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for all processes and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in accounting, fund administration, or operational roles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with remote work setups and virtual collaboration tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Accounting experience and preference for experience in the financial services or investment industry.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
