Accounting Officer

Position Summary:
We are looking for a meticulous and reliable Accounting Officer to oversee daily accounting and finance operations, with a strong focus on bookkeeping, payroll processing, BIR compliance, and government-mandated contributions. The successful candidate will ensure accurate transaction recording, timely government filings, and efficient handling of employee compensation and benefits.
Key Responsibilities:Bookkeeping and General Accounting
- Maintain accurate and updated books of accounts in accordance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards and BIR requirements.
- Record daily transactions including sales, purchases, cash receipts, and disbursements.
- Prepare and file required BIR books of accounts.
- Ensure proper documentation and archiving of all financial records for audit and compliance.
Compliance and Audit Support
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of all BIR tax returns.
- Prepare necessary reports and documents for internal and external audits.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax agents, and government officers during assessments or audits.
- Monitor compliance with SEC, PEZA, LGU, and other regulatory bodies as required.
Accounts Management
- Process and monitor accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, collections, and payments.
- Manage petty cash transactions and replenishment with proper documentation.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and reconcile subsidiary ledgers with the general ledger.
Payroll, Compensation, and Benefits Administration
- Prepare and process bi-weekly payroll in compliance with DOLE regulations.
- Compute and remit statutory contributions and loans.
- Ensure accurate preparation and filing of:
- Handle compensation-related inquiries, resolve discrepancies, and ensure confidentiality.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of accounting experience, with hands-on bookkeeping, payroll, and compliance responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of Philippine taxation, BIR regulations, and government remittance processes.
- Familiarity with DOLE labor standards and benefits administration.
- Proficient in accounting tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, or equivalent).
- Experience using eBIRForms, eFPS, and SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG online portals.
- High attention to detail, integrity, and ability to handle confidential information.
