About Us

Offshore Outsource Operations is the in-house operations team supporting a well-established Australian Fire Protection & Maintenance & Management group. We are currently seeking a talented Instructional Designer for our company, Fire Industry Academy, a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) in Australia.


Your Role

As an Instructional Designer, you will transform complex fire safety regulations and technical storyboards into engaging, learner-ready assets. You will manage the end-to-end development process, ensuring all materials meet the high compliance standards required for an Australian RTO.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Development: Design, develop, and write teacher and student instructional materials, including SCORM/xAPI-compliant eLearning, workbooks, syllabi, and micro-learning modules.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Consult with internal stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to analyze learning needs, define outcomes, and align on instructional strategies.
  • Engagement & Design: Create engaging learning experiences with knowledge checks and bite-sized modules, employing best practices in adult learning theory.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all learning products are clear, accessible (WCAG 2.1 AA compliance), polished, and aligned with organizational goals.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date on emerging technologies and learning trends to continuously improve design and delivery methods.

Your Qualifications

  • Mandatory Requirement: Applicants MUST have proven experience with Articulate Storyline and Articulate Rise.
  • Experience: 3–5 years of experience in instructional design, content development, or Learning & Development, preferably within an Australian RTO provider
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Communication, Education, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Articulate 360 suite and familiarity with LMS platforms (Moodle, Docebo, or similar). Exposure to Unity Software or video editing tools is a plus.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high level of creativity in gathering and presenting information.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to use reporting and dashboarding tools (Excel, Google Sheets) to evaluate learning effectiveness.
  • Reliability: Ability to work strictly on-site in our Ortigas Centre office during Australian business hours.
