Overview

The Learning and Development Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and evaluation of learning initiatives that enhance employee performance and organizational capability. This role ensures that training programs are aligned with business goals, support career growth, and promote a culture of continuous learning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise day-to-day operations of the Learning and Development team, ensuring timely delivery of training programs and learning projects.
  • Assess training needs across departments through surveys, interviews, and performance data analysis.
  • Design, develop, and facilitate engaging training sessions (classroom, online, or blended learning).
  • Collaborate with department heads to identify skill gaps and recommend appropriate learning interventions.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through post-training assessments and performance metrics.
  • Manage training records, budgets, and schedules.
  • Coordinate with external training vendors and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Support the implementation of learning management systems (LMS) and maintain training content.
  • Coach and mentor team members to support their professional development.
  • Contribute to L&D strategy planning and process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Education, or related field.
  • At least 3–5 years of experience in learning and development, training, or HR-related roles.
  • Proven experience in supervising or leading a team.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, and training evaluation methods.
  • Proficient in using learning management systems and MS Office tools.
  • Creative, organized, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification in Training and Development, Instructional Design, or related areas (e.g., CPLP, DDI, Kirkpatrick).
  • Experience with e-learning platforms or content development tools (e.g., Articulate, Canva, Moodle).
  • Background in BPO or fast-paced environments is an advantage.
