What you'll be doing

  1. Develop and implement material procurement plans to meet production targets and ensure continuous supply of materials
  2. Analyse inventory levels, forecast demand, and make recommendations to optimise inventory holdings
  3. Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate prices, manage contracts, and ensure timely delivery of materials
  4. Monitor and track material lead times, delivery schedules, and potential supply chain disruptions
  5. Participate in the development and maintenance of material master data and related systems
  6. Identify opportunities for process improvements and make recommendations to enhance efficiency
  7. Provide regular reports and updates on material planning activities to management

What we're looking for

  1. experience in a material planning or procurement role, preferably within the manufacturing or logistics industry
  2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
  3. Proficient in the use of ERP systems and inventory management software
  4. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams
  5. Familiarity with supply chain management principles and knowledge of procurement best practices
  6. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field
