Materials Engineer I

Purpose of the Position:

  • Reporting to the site Project Manager
  • Planning and implementation of Quality Management System, evaluation of materials used in construction, and overseeing inspections and testing

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Knowledgeable on quality management procedures and project standards and specifications

  2. Knowledgeable on inspection criteria and testing processes for all construction materials

  3. Establish quality assurance and control system to ensure compliance of construction materials to project standards and specifications

  4. Evaluates inspection and testing proc sees of materials onsite and coordinate's with appropriate departments for all materials procurement to ensure compliance with project specifications

  5. Monitors construction activities to ensure compliance with quality procedures and project specifications

  6. Prepares quality control and assurance report, materials inspection report and analyzes material testing data

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Licensed and Registered Civil Engineer, Accredited Materials Engineer
  • Hardworking and resourceful with strong drive and high level of initiative; Team player and can work under pressure;
  • Very knowledgeable in Quality Management Systems, Materials standards and specifications, Materials testing, and Construction Methodology
  • At least 3-5 years of related world experience preferably in the construction industry
  • External Quality control and assurance report, Monthly material report Internal Material inspection and testing report
