Record to Report Team Lead

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Team Lead for the Record to Report (R2R) function to oversee the financial reporting and closing processes for the company. As a Team Lead, you will manage a team responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate completion of financial statements, including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings. You will also be tasked with driving continuous process improvements and ensuring compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Team Management:

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of R2R professionals, ensuring they are aligned with departmental goals and company objectives.

Provide training and support to team members to help them reach their full potential.

Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to foster growth and development within the team.

Create and foster a positive, collaborative team environment that drives high performance.

• Record to Report Process Management:

Oversee the entire Record to Report cycle, ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled in a timely manner.

Manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring all entries are completed within deadlines and financial reports are accurate.

Supervise the preparation and submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS/GAAP.

• Financial Reporting & Compliance:

Review financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.

Manage and maintain general ledger activities, ensuring consistency and accuracy across financial reporting.

Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, audit standards, and internal controls.

• Reconciliations & Variance Analysis:

Oversee account reconciliations to ensure they are completed accurately and on time.

Provide detailed analysis of financial results, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions where necessary.

Partner with cross-functional teams to address any discrepancies and resolve issues.

• Process Improvement & Automation:

Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead initiatives to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the R2R cycle.

Work with other departments, including IT and operations, to implement automation tools that streamline the R2R process and reduce manual effort.

Promote the adoption of best practices and continuous improvement across the team.

• Audit & Internal Controls:

Coordinate internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and addressing audit queries.

Ensure that all R2R processes are compliant with SOX and other relevant internal control frameworks.

Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial data and minimize risk.

• Stakeholder Management & Reporting:

Serve as a primary point of contact for senior management regarding R2R activities.

Provide timely, accurate, and relevant financial information to stakeholders for decision-making purposes.

Generate ad-hoc reports and analyses as requested by senior leadership to support business strategy and financial planning.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's degree or professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA is a plus).
• 5+ years of experience in financial accounting or reporting, with at least 2 years in a team leadership or supervisory role in R2R.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles (e.g., IFRS, GAAP) and financial reporting requirements.
• Experience in managing and leading a team within a fast-paced, high-volume financial reporting environment.
• Strong knowledge of financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems) and proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Experience with financial consolidations, intercompany transactions, and closing processes.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide insights and actionable recommendations based on financial data.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams and departments.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in a global finance or shared services environment.
• Knowledge of process automation or robotic process automation (RPA) in finance functions.
• Experience with managing audits and external auditors.
• Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA or other enterprise-level ERP systems.
• Experience in leading process improvement or transformation initiatives.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php57, Php90,000.00 per month
