The Finance Officer is responsible for handling core financial functions including accounts payable, budgeting, financial reporting, and profit and loss monitoring. This role supports management by ensuring accurate financial records, compliance with tax requirements, and timely preparation of financial data for decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Accounts Payable (AP)

  2. Process and record accounts payable transactions accurately and on time

  3. Verify invoices, purchase documents, and supporting schedules
  4. Ensure proper approval and documentation of all payables

  5. Preparation and disbursement of payments

  6. Financial Reporting

  7. Prepare regular financial reports for management review

  8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records

  9. Assist in month-end and year-end financial closing activities

  10. Budgeting & Financial Forecasting

  11. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and budget revisions

  12. Monitor budget utilization and identify variances

  13. Prepare financial forecasts to support planning and decision-making

  14. Profit & Loss (P&L) Monitoring

  15. Prepare and analyze Profit and Loss (P&L) statements

  16. Track income and expenses and report on financial performance

  17. Support management in understanding financial results and trends

  18. Tax & VAT-Related Transactions

  19. Record and monitor VAT-related purchases and transactions

  20. Ensure proper documentation and compliance with VAT requirements

  21. Coordinate with external parties when necessary for tax-related matters

  22. Liquidation & Fund Monitoring

  23. Process liquidations and ensure completeness of supporting documents

  24. Monitor cash advances, reimbursements, and fund utilization

  25. Ensure timely submission and accurate recording of liquidation reports

  26. Bank & Account Management

  27. Assist in opening and maintaining company bank accounts

  28. Coordinate with banks regarding account documentation and requirements
  29. Maintain records related to bank accounts and financial instruments

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • At least 1–2 years of finance or accounting experience
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial statements
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and reliable
  • Able to handle confidential financial information
  • Proficient in Excel and basic accounting tools
