  • Develop and Implement Safety Policies: Create, update, and enforce safety policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA, EPA) and company standards.
  • Conduct Inspections and Audits: Regularly inspect plant facilities, machinery, and equipment to identify potential safety hazards and non-compliance issues.
  • Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment: Perform risk assessments to identify potential dangers and implement control measures to mitigate risks.
  • Incident Investigation: Investigate all workplace accidents, injuries, and near-misses. Document findings, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Safety Training: Develop and deliver safety training programs for new hires and current employees on topics such as personal protective equipment (PPE), emergency procedures, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and fire safety.
  • Emergency Response: Lead and coordinate emergency response efforts, including fire drills and evacuation procedures. Ensure all emergency equipment is functional and accessible.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of safety inspections, incident reports, training sessions, and regulatory compliance documents.
  • Promote Safety Culture: Actively promote a positive safety culture through communication, workshops, and recognition programs. Encourage employee participation in safety initiatives.
