Position Summary

The Logistics Hub Supervisor is responsible for managing and overseeing day-to-day operations of the logistics hub, ensuring the efficient, accurate, and timely processing of parcels for delivery and distribution. The role ensures adherence to company standards, service level agreements (SLAs), and compliance with safety, security, and operational procedures for parcel logistics.

Key Responsibilities Operations Management

  • Supervise daily hub activities, including parcel receipt, sorting, storage, dispatch, and delivery tracking.
  • Monitor and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of inbound and outbound shipments in accordance with SLAs.
  • Implement operational best practices to optimize parcel flow and minimize delays or errors.
  • Coordinate with courier partners, vendors, and internal departments to address operational issues promptly.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, train, and supervise hub staff, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
  • Conduct daily briefings to communicate operational targets, safety protocols, and performance expectations.
  • Provide coaching and corrective actions to maintain high staff productivity and morale.

Inventory and Parcel Control

  • Ensure accurate documentation and scanning of all parcels at every stage of the hub process.
  • Conduct regular audits to verify parcel counts and investigate discrepancies.
  • Maintain proper storage and handling procedures to avoid damage or loss.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting

  • Track key operational metrics such as parcel volume, delivery timelines, and hub efficiency.
  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports to management.
  • Identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for process improvement.

Compliance and Safety

  • Enforce compliance with company policies, local regulations, and industry standards.
  • Ensure the hub complies with occupational health and safety requirements.
  • Implement security measures to safeguard parcels and prevent losses or theft.
