Estimator (Cubit Software Experience)

Job Summary:

This role will support an Australian construction company based in the Northern Territory (NT) Australia.

The Take-off Estimator is responsible for performing detailed quantity take-offs, cost estimations, and material listings using Cubit software. This position supports the project management and estimating team by ensuring accurate and timely cost data for tenders, bids, and ongoing construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze architectural, structural, and engineering drawings.
  • Perform quantity take-offs for materials, labor, and equipment using Cubit.
  • Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and cost estimates for residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects.
  • Ensure all quantities and pricing align with Australian project specifications and standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers to validate estimates and coordinate with related departments.
  • Update and maintain Cubit project databases and cost libraries.
  • Generate detailed take-off reports and present them to the estimating or tender team.
  • Assist in tender documentation and bid preparation when required.
  • Maintain accuracy, consistency, and confidentiality of all estimating data.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • At least 1–3 years of experience in quantity take-offs or cost estimation.
  • Hands-on experience with Cubit software (Buildsoft Cubit or Cubit Estimating) is required.
  • Experience with other take-off tools (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift) and MS Excel is a plus.
  • Previous experience working with Australian construction projects (residential or commercial) is preferred.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
  • Good written and verbal English communication skills; familiarity with Australian construction terminology is an advantage.
  • Can work independently with minimal supervision and meet tight deadlines.
  • Team-oriented, with strong organizational and time management abilities.

Work Setup:

  • Work Type: Full-time, Office-based (Sto. Domingo, Angeles City, Pampanga)
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM (aligned with Australian business hours)
