Job Title: Estimator – Cubit Software Specialist (Onsite - Sto. Domingo, Angeles City)

  • Office based - Sto. Domingo, Angeles City

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and analytical Estimator with hands-on experience in Cubit estimating software to support project costing and tender preparation. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of construction estimation processes, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to produce accurate cost assessments efficiently.


Key Responsibilities:

Estimating & Costing:

  • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates using Cubit software for residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects.
  • Interpret drawings, specifications, and tender documents to develop comprehensive quantity take-offs.
  • Update and maintain cost databases, unit rates, and pricing templates.
  • Conduct feasibility and cost analysis to support project planning and decision-making.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and value-engineering options.

Tendering & Documentation:

  • Prepare bid proposals, tender documents, and pricing schedules.
  • Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotations.
  • Review and compare supplier bids for accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist in tender evaluations and post-tender negotiations.

Coordination & Reporting:

  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to align estimates with design and scope.
  • Generate regular progress and cost reports for management.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience as an Estimator or Quantity Surveyor in the Australian construction industry.
  • Proven proficiency in Cubit software (required).
  • Experience with related tools (e.g., Bluebeam, CostX, Excel) is a plus.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and cost structures.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical abilities.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in quantity take-offs.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple estimates simultaneously.
