We are looking for someone who can take care of setting up and maintaining virtual machines (VMs), making sure they are secure with the latest updates and operating system (OS) upgrades. This person will also help with providing servers and resources mainly for practice or testing purposes, and keep an eye on how well the systems are running to fix any problems and use resources efficiently.

Candidates must have a minimum of 5+ years of system administration experience.

The expertise needed includes working with virtual machines (VM creation and maintenance), managing servers for non-production environments (development and testing), and handling databases by setting them up, adjusting their size, and doing basic upkeep. Experience in monitoring system performance and troubleshooting will also be important.

You should have skills and knowledge in applying security updates and OS upgrades (security patches, OS upgrades), provisioning servers and resources, understanding of database management (provisioning, scaling, maintenance), performance monitoring, troubleshooting issues, and creating documentation like playbooks and configuration guides.

Candidates must have hands-on experience with Linux, Windows Server, and VMware ESXi operating systems.

A degree related to computer science, information technology, or a similar field (such as a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or IT) would be suitable for this role.
