Job description

The Risk and Insurance Specialist supports the implementation of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework and administration of the corporate insurance program across the organization's renewable energy portfolio. This role ensures the consistent application of risk management tools and contributes to the protection of the company's assets, operations, and project investments through appropriate risk identification, mitigation, and transfer strategies.

ERM Support

  • Assist in the rollout of ERM activities in alignment with ISO 31000 and the company's ERM framework;

  • Maintain the enterprise risk register and monitor the implementation status of mitigation actions;

  • Support the preparation of risk reports, heat maps, and risk dashboards for management and board-level reporting.

Insurance Administration

  • Serve as the secondary contact for non-life insurance inquiries, providing guidance on coverage and risk transfer strategies;

  • Manage policy administration, renewals, documentation, and negotiations to secure optimal coverage;

  • Develop cost-saving strategies, advise on risk mitigation, and oversee asset appraisals with external experts;

  • Maintain an organized database of insurance policies, claims, and related documents for compliance;

  • Prepare reports on coverage, claims, and risks while educating teams on insurance policies and risk management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or related field;

  • With insurance/risk management training/certifications is an advantage;

  • At least 3 years of experience in insurance management, preferably in renewable energy, and exposure in claims, policy administration, underwriting, or brokering a plus;

  • Knowledge of insurance regulations and practices in Asia or International is preferred;

  • Understanding of ERM principles based on ISO 31000;

  • High level of accuracy when reviewing policies, claims, and legal documents.
