1. In-House Fleet Management

  • Schedule and dispatch company vehicles and drivers for goods and personnel transport.
  • Monitor fuel usage, vehicle service schedules, and maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate records on vehicle usage, licenses, accidents, and running costs.
  • Enforce driver policies and safety standards through regular briefings and checks.

2. Third-Party Logistics (3PL) Coordination

  • Identify and evaluate third-party transport providers based on capacity, pricing, and compliance.
  • Negotiate contracts and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with transport vendors.
  • Coordinate daily operations with 3PLs to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
  • Resolve issues related to service delays, damages, or vendor non-compliance.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with external logistics providers.

3. Transport Planning & Optimization

  • Plan cost-effective delivery and collection schedules using route optimization tools.
  • Consolidate shipments where possible to reduce transport costs.
  • Track real-time traffic and delivery progress, recommending alternative routes as needed.
  • Align transport plans with warehouse dispatch and inventory readiness.

4. Warehouse Operations & Inventory Monitoring

  • Supervise daily warehouse activities including receiving, storage, order picking, tagging, packing, and dispatch.
  • Monitor and record inventory movements to ensure accuracy and availability.
  • Conduct periodic physical stock counts and reconcile discrepancies with system records.
  • Coordinate with inventory and procurement teams for restocking and demand planning.
  • Ensure warehouse space is optimized, clean, secure, and compliant with safety standards.
  • Maintain proper documentation of inbound/outbound shipments and inventory records.

5. Documentation & Compliance

  • Ensure accurate and complete transport and warehouse documentation (e.g., waybills, delivery notes, inventory logs, fuel usage records).
  • Ensure compliance with internal SOPs and external regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare documentation for audits, insurance claims, and compliance reviews.

6. Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare and submit regular reports on fleet usage, transport expenses, warehouse performance, and inventory metrics.
  • Analyze logistics and inventory data to identify inefficiencies or cost-saving opportunities.
  • Recommend improvements in transport planning, vendor performance, and stock control.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
