CREDIT MANAGEMENT MANAGER
The Credit Management Manager leads and manages the credit management function, balancing the need to extend credit to customers with the imperative to mitigate credit risk. This includes evaluating creditworthiness, establishing credit limits, and developing strategies to minimize bad debt exposure. By implementing effective credit policies and procedures, the Credit Management Manager aims to enhance cash flow, reduce financial risk, and foster positive relationships with customers.
Competencies:
Strategic Management
- Contribute to strategic decision-making related to sales, collection, and adjustments of receivables.
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement credit management strategies.
- Recommends strategies to minimize credit risk.
Financial Management
- Manage the Credit Management budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources for projects and day-to day operations.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making.
People and Performance Management
- Lead and mentor a team of credit bookkeepers, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
Policies and Procedures Development
- Develop and implement credit policies and procedures in line with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure policies are communicated and adhered to across the organization.
Compliance and Internal Control
- Ensures that policies, procedures, and controls in the credit management processes are being implemented
- Identifies control gaps and proposes control processes in the business transactions of the company and ensures it addresses control issues.
- Ensures all receivable and intercompany account balances are reconciled timely and reconciling items are also addressed timely.
Financial Reporting
- Consolidates and prepares sales and collection reports monthly, yearly, or as needed.
- Ensures reports are timely prepared, and presented in compliance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards
- Oversees the month-end reporting processes and ensures timely and accurate execution of month-end checklist.
- Prepares other financial reports as required by Management
- Supervise and lead supplier master file management, inventory, and fixed asset accounting processes, ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactions.
Credit Risk Management
- Review aging of receivables on a monthly basis
- Ensures monthly issuance of statement of accounts of receivables from dealers
- Coordinate with the Financing Team to determine if there's a need to provide provision for customer accounts.
- Conducts monthly operations meeting with FBU to follow through on collection status including accounts subject to repossession
Transaction Processing
- Ensures timely and accurate incentives and commissions computation and payout
- Ensures timely billing of intercompany transactions
- Ensures timely updating of product pricing and discounts
- Ensures timely approval of credit application of dealers
Financial Analysis
- Provide insights and analysis on receivable and revenue related financial data.
- Performs financial analysis versus budget
- Assist FP&A in the monthly financial analysis of the companies' performance
- Provides reports and schedules as needed by FP&A and other stakeholders
Effective Collaboration
- Work closely with departments or BUs to ensure seamless coordination of credit management -related activities.
- Collaborate with teams to address any discrepancies or issues related to credit management.
Workplace Safety and Security Compliance Management
- Implements workplace safety and security policies within the Credit Management department.
Qualification Standards:
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or any Accounting-related course
Experience
- Professional: At least 5 years of relevant work experience Leadership: At least 2 years of leadership experience
Training
- CISA
Certifications and Licenses
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred
Others
- Strong leadership and team management skills.

- Effective communication skills for both internal and external stakeholders.
