The Regional Distributor Manager is responsible for overseeing and driving the performance of distributors within an assigned region. This role ensures the achievement of sales targets, market share growth, and execution excellence by managing distributor relationships, optimizing coverage, and developing effective sales strategies.
Key responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with regional distributors.
- Monitor distributor performance (sell-in, sell-out, stock levels, etc.) and ensure alignment with company standards.
- Support distributor capability development, including sales team training, route planning, and resource management.
- Develop and execute regional sales plans to achieve volume, revenue, and distribution targets.
- Identify growth opportunities and implement strategies to increase market penetration.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to recommend actions.
- Ensure proper implementation of trade marketing programs and promotions.
- Monitor inventory and logistics to prevent out-of-stock or overstock situations.
- Conduct regular field visits to check on distribution coverage and execution at the retail level.
- Work closely with marketing, finance, logistics, and supply chain teams to ensure cohesive operations.
- Provide regular performance reports and insights to management.
- Coach and support distributor sales teams to improve efficiency and productivity.
Qualifications, knowledge, skills required:
- FMCG experience is a must, with a proven strong sales leadership role, focused on managing distributor operations preferably with experience in South Luzon, or NCR
- Minimum 8 years of strong sales experience with a track record of successfully achieving sales target and driving revenue growth in a competitive environment.
- In depth operational knowledge on distributor capability building and understanding of the retail landscape.
- Excellent people management skills, with the ability to hire, evaluate, develop and motivate subordinates to deliver exceptional results
- Ability to work smoothly in a cross functional team including finance, manufacturing and supply chain leaders.
- Strong in execution and operations, communication skills and analytical abilities
- Willingness to travel as required.
