Job Description

We are seeking a skilled RHEL Engineer to join our Branch Server Project. This role focuses on managing, supporting, and optimizing Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems across physical, virtual, and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have strong Linux fundamentals, enterprise troubleshooting experience, and a passion for automation and system stability.

Key Responsibilities

  • System Administration: Install, configure, and maintain RHEL systems (versions 7/8/9).
  • Support & Troubleshooting: Provide L1–L3 support, resolve incidents, perform RCA.
  • Patching: Apply system/kernel updates and manage Red Hat subscriptions.
  • Security & Compliance: Enforce security hardening, SELinux, firewall, and user policies.
  • Automation: Create Bash scripts; use tools like Ansible for configuration management.
  • Monitoring & Performance: Track system health using Nagios, Zabbix, or Prometheus.
  • Backup & Recovery: Manage backups and perform disaster recovery testing.
  • Documentation: Maintain system documentation, incident reports, and change records.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • RHCSA (preferred), RHCE, CompTIA Linux+, LPIC-1/2
  • ITIL Foundation (advantageous)
  • Security+ (beneficial for secure environments)
  • 3–5 years of hands-on RHEL administration in enterprise environments.
  • Experience supporting data centers, managed services, or cloud platforms.
  • Strong understanding of systemd, SELinux, LVM, RAID, NIC bonding, VLANs, NFS, SMB
  • Red Hat tools (RPM, yum/dnf, subscription management)
  • Shell scripting (Bash); Python or Perl is a plus
  • Familiarity with Ansible, Satellite, AWS, Azure, OpenStack
  • Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
  • Strong ownership mindset and ability to perform under pressure
