Job Title: Assistant Restaurant Supervisor – Italian Restaurant
Reports to: Restaurant Manager / General Manager Department: Front of House / Food & Beverage Location: The Grand Midori Makati Bolanos St. San Lorenzo Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

Service & Guest Experience

  • Support the delivery of warm, attentive, and professional service aligned with Italian hospitality values.
  • Oversee the floor during service, ensuring that guests are welcomed, seated promptly, and attended to throughout their visit.
  • Handle guest inquiries, complaints, or special requests with professionalism and care.
  • Ensure consistency in table service, food presentation, and cleanliness.

Team Leadership & Support

  • Supervise and motivate front-of-house staff (servers, hosts, bussers) during shifts.
  • Assist with staff training on service standards, menu knowledge (especially Italian dishes and wines), and guest interaction.
  • Lead pre-shift briefings and communicate any changes, specials, or important updates.

Operational Support

  • Assist the Restaurant Manager in daily operations including opening/closing procedures, shift planning, and floor organization.
  • Monitor reservations, walk-ins, and table rotations to optimize guest flow.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.
  • Support in stock checks, ordering supplies, and maintaining par levels for service equipment.

Administrative Tasks

  • Assist in maintaining staff schedules and timesheets.
  • Help prepare shift reports and handovers for management.
  • Support recruitment and onboarding of new FOH staff when required.
