Work Setup: Hybrid (2 days onsite per week / 8 days per month)

Location: Taguig City

Schedule: Midshift, 45 hours per week

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled AS/400 Developer and Production Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in AS/400 application development, production support, and database management. You will play a key role in maintaining and modernizing legacy systems, ensuring smooth production operations, and supporting business-critical processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain applications using RPG/400, ILE RPG, Free RPGLE, SQLRPGLE, and CL/400.
  • Design, manage, and optimize DB2/400 and SQL/400 databases.
  • Support and monitor AS/400 batch production processes, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis.
  • Handle AS/400 system administration tasks, including performance tuning and optimization.
  • Modernize legacy RPG programs and integrate AS/400 systems with modern applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and scalable solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Proficiency in RPG/400, ILE RPG, Free RPGLE, SQLRPGLE, CL/400.
  • Strong understanding of DB2/400 and SQL/400 for database design and optimization.
  • Experience in AS/400 batch production support and job scheduling.
  • Knowledge of AS/400 system administration and performance tuning.
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills with a focus on root cause analysis.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience modernizing RPG programs to Free RPGLE.
  • Familiarity with SQL-based reporting and data extraction.
  • Knowledge of the AS/400 application development lifecycle.
