Must be knowledgeable in the following
  • Basic knowledge of theories/concepts and practices of Indirect Tax, particularly international VAT/GST.
  • Develops knowledge of the assigned area of responsibility and the 3M/multi-national company (MNC) structure, organization, and business.
  • Basic knowledge in SAP, HANA, Business Intelligence (BI)/ Business Warehouse (BW), and other connected applications [OneSource (Sabrix), Concur, Vistex, Ariba, APlus, AS400, etc] is an advantage.
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office, Alteryx, and other data analytics and collaboration tools.
  • Ability to communicate in written and spoken English.
Key Responsibilities
  • Data Reconciliation & Analysis:

    Analyze discrepancies between SAP and OneSource/Sabrix VAT/GST calculations across various data elements, including VAT/GST rates, UNSPSC codes, customer exemption certificates, and general ledger accounts.

    Validate data accuracy against source documents such as invoices, proofs of delivery, and other supporting records.
  • Reporting & Analytics:

    Prepare and maintain data analytics and reports to support team leaders, stakeholders, and interdependent process owners.

    Present findings, trends, and recommendations to assist in decision-making and process optimization.
  • Collaboration & Communication:

    Collaborate with internal teams, cross-functional departments, and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on tax data accuracy and resolution of discrepancies.

    Support continuous improvement initiatives related to indirect tax data management and reporting processes.
