Job Description:

  • Oversee the billing, collections and credit control functions of the company.
  • Work closely with operations, sales and finance teams to ensure accurate billing to clients and monitor credit line facilities issued to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Accounts Receivable & Billing

  2. Manage customer invoicing and ensure compliance with client agreements.

  3. Oversee AR aging reports and take proactive actions to reduce outstanding balance.

  4. Ensure accurate reconciliation of payments and resolve any discrepancies.

  5. Work with operations and sales to ensure timely dispute resolution related to freight charges, customs fees and surcharges.

  6. Credits & Collections

  7. Asses customer credit worthiness, prepare documents and recommend to management credit limits based on financial risk analysis.

  8. Enforce company credit policies and ensure adherence to payment terms.

  9. Implement and oversee a structured collections process, including dunning letters, follow-ups and escalation strategies.

  10. Work with legal terms on bad debt recovery and manage provisions for doubtful accounts..

  11. Reporting & Compliance

  12. Prepare detailed AR reports, aging analysis and cash forecasts.

  13. Ensure compliance with IFRS/GAAP and company financial policies.

  14. Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and analysis.

  15. Process Optimization & Team Leadership

  16. Lead and develop the AR team to improve efficiency and collection performance.

  17. Drive automation initiatives to enhance billing and collection process in AS400 and D365 FO.

  18. Collaborate with cross- functional teams to improve cash flow management and customer payment behaviors.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting

  • Preferably CPA, but not required

  • With 3 years (or more) supervisory or managerial role in accounting of Finance department

  • Proficient in MS Office applications

  • Has the ability to lead a team. Has good interpersonal and leadership skills.

  • Must be honest and trustworthy

  • Monday to Friday
