Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research and Development Specialist to support product innovation and commercialization across our brands. This role will focus on ingredient sourcing, documentation management, and cross-functional collaboration with Product Development, Regulatory, and Supply Chain teams. The Specialist will play a key role in organizing and streamlining R&D processes through ClickUp and SharePoint, ensuring that product launches move quickly and efficiently from concept to market.
Key Responsibilities:
Ingredient Sourcing & Documentation
- Source new ingredients to support Product Development initiatives.
- Collect, review, and maintain supplier documentation (COAs, spec sheets, certifications, safety data).
- Ensure documentation is accurately stored and accessible in SharePoint.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Product Development to move projects through the R&D board and support timely launches.
- Collaborate with Regulatory to assist in label review and compliance checks.
- Work with Supply Chain to align ingredient feasibility and sourcing requirements.
Systems & Process Management
- Utilize ClickUp for task management, project tracking, and cross-departmental communication.
- Maintain organized digital filing systems in SharePoint for document sharing and version control.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to drive efficiency in R&D workflows.
Regulatory Support
- Support Regulatory in gathering and managing documentation for certifications, audits, and label reviews.
- Ensure documentation and claims are aligned with compliance requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Knowledge of ingredients, raw materials, and industry trends to effectively evaluate sourcing opportunities.
- Professionalism in communication, with strong writing skills for supplier and internal emails, and confident, clear participation in Teams/Zoom meetings.
- Strong proficiency in ClickUp and SharePoint (or equivalent project/document management tools).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Determination to improve processes and streamline workflows.
