$20,000 USD annual salary + paid leave + private health cover

Canberra Granny Flat Builders (CGFB) is expanding and building a family-friendly, long-term remote team. We're hiring three experienced ArchiCAD Architects to join us in a work-from-home role aligned to Australian business hours. We employ directly (no agencies) because we invest in our people, provide job security, and build a hardworking, high-trust team that grows together.

What You'll Do
  • Produce residential design plans and detailed documentation in ArchiCAD/BIM
  • Ensure designs comply with Australian codes, planning approvals and the NCC
  • Develop and maintain templates, standards, and procedures for CGFB
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and designers
  • Focus on dual occupancy, subdivision, and high-quality residential projects
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of our workflows and libraries
About You
  • Degree in Architecture (or equivalent)
  • 3+ years in architectural design/drafting/documentation
  • Strong ArchiCAD proficiency (mandatory)
  • Solid grasp of zoning, planning & building regulations
  • Experience with DA/BA applications and dual occupancy is a plus
  • Detail-driven, great problem solver, reliable and proactive
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
  • Clear written and spoken English for documentation and coordination
Work Setup & Training
  • Transition Training: ~10 hrs/week (remote, $10 USD/hr) while you complete your current role
  • Schedule: Mon–Fri, remote, aligned with Australian business hours
  • Incentives: Performance-based bonuses after probation
  • Stack: ArchiCAD + BIM + internal project systems
