Job Description:

The Regulatory Compliance Management Specialist will support all SLF Philippines' businesses and functions in ensuring adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. The RCM Specialist will be responsible for coordinating compliance activities between business units and the second line (Compliance and Risk functions). The role will ensure that the operational teams meet regulatory obligations by supporting compliance implementation, incident reporting, issue triage, and remediation tracking. This role will play a critical part in embedding a culture of compliance by integrating regulatory requirements into day-to-day business activities. The ideal candidate is expected to have strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of regulatory frameworks, and the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.

  • Execute and ensure alignment of RCM practices with Sun Life's Enterprise RCM framework, manuals and methodologies.
  • Act as liaison between business units (first line) and second-line compliance and risk teams, ensuring timely communication and coordination on regulatory matters.
  • Support the development, execution, and monitoring of compliance-related processes, procedures, and controls within the business operations.
  • Track compliance activities across business functions and escalate gaps, control failures, or delays in remediation to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Partner with the first line and second line to assess the impact of regulatory changes on business processes.
  • Support the initial triage of compliance issues reported by the business, including root-cause analysis, impact assessment, categorization, and escalation.
  • Usage of Archer within their BU/BFG/CFAs as the "Book of Record" for all elements of Sun Life's RCM program (e.g., inventory of regulations, risk assessments, key controls, monitoring and testing programs, etc.)
  • Assist in logging and documenting compliance-related incidents in accordance with defined policies and procedures; monitor progress of open compliance issues and action plans; coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely resolution and closure.
  • Maintain compliance logs and issue trackers; support regular reporting to first-line and second-line management.
  • Support reviews conducted by Internal Audit, Risk and Compliance as well as external auditors and regulators.

Coordinate and deliver compliance related training, awareness initiatives, and consultation as required to build a risk and compliance culture at Sun Life.
