Importation Management Specialist

The Importation Management Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring that all goods are imported efficiently, legally, and cost-effectively. The position demands a high level of accuracy, coordination, and proactive communication to support smooth end-to-end importation operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Documentation Management

  2. Prepare, process, and review all required import documentation, including invoices, bills of lading, import permits, certificates of origin, and customs declarations

  3. Daily Shipment monitoring and updating - Maintain high accuracy to prevent delays, penalties, or compliance issues

  4. Regulatory Compliance

  5. Ensure all import transactions comply with relevant laws, customs regulations, and trade requirements and import permits

  6. Customs Clearance

  7. Coordinate with customs brokers to ensure timely release of imported goods

  8. Logistics Coordination

  9. Collaborate with freight forwarders, and logistics partners to manage the transportation of goods from origin to destination

  10. Oversee shipment tracking, scheduling, and delivery to ensure timely arrival

  11. Continuous Improvement

  12. Review and improve importation processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance

  13. Communication and Coordination

  14. Serve as the point of contact for internal teams, external partners

  15. Provide Daily/timely updates on shipment status, address inquiries, and coordinate resolutions to any importation issues

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Customs Administration , Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • At least 1–2 years of experience in importation, logistics, or supply chain management.
  • Strong understanding of customs processes, import/export regulations, and documentation requirements.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Excel - Pivot
