Accounting Staff

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Accounting Staff member with a strong understanding of financial statement preparation and analysis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, maintaining financial records, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Statement Preparation:

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, statement of cash flows, and statement of changes in equity) in accordance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS).

  • Prepare supporting schedules and reconciliations for financial statement line items.

  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data.

  • Review financial statements for errors and inconsistencies.

  • General Accounting:

  • Perform general ledger accounting tasks, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end closing procedures.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.

  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.

  • Assist with bank reconciliations.

  • Financial Analysis:

  • Analyze financial data and identify trends and variances.

  • Prepare financial reports and analyses for management review.

  • Assist in the development of budgets and forecasts.

  • Provide support for financial audits.

  • Compliance & Reporting:

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting principles, regulations, and tax laws.

  • Prepare and file tax returns and other regulatory reports.

  • Assist with internal and external audits.

  • Stay up-to-date on changes in accounting standards and regulations.

  • Other Duties:

  • Assist with other accounting tasks as needed.

  • Provide support to other members of the accounting team.

  • Maintain confidentiality of financial information.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or related field.

  • CPA license is preferred but not required.

  • Proven experience (1-2 years) in accounting, with a focus on financial statement preparation.

  • Strong understanding of PFRS and other accounting principles.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
