Position: Senior Assistant - Candidates of Chinese descent are preferred.
Job Responsibilities:
1 Strategy and Business Support1
1-1 Assist the General Manager in formulating the annual business plan, including directions such as market expansion, supply chain optimization, and product innovation.
1-2 Lead market research, analyze trends in the Philippine food retail industry (e.g., growing demand for healthy food, increasing penetration of online channels), and provide data support for decision-making.
1-3 Monitor competitors' activities, participate in new product development and pricing strategies, and promote brand differentiation.
2 Cross-Department Collaboration and Project Management
2-1 Coordinate with marketing, procurement, logistics, and finance departments to ensure the efficient implementation of strategic goals (e.g., store expansion, supply chain localization).
2-2 Lead key projects (e.g., new store openings, promotional campaigns), monitor progress, and resolve urgent issues.
2-3 Prepare executive meetings, write meeting minutes, and follow up on the implementation of decisions.
3 Cross-Cultural Communication and Client Relationship Management
3-1 Act as a bridge between Chinese and Filipino teams to promote mutual understanding and collaboration in business processes and cultural differences.
3-2 Assist the General Manager in maintaining relationships with local suppliers, government agencies, and partners, handling business negotiations and crisis communication.
3-3 Organize middle- and senior-management meetings, translate key documents, and ensure accurate communication.
4 Daily Operations Management
4-1 Manage the General Manager's schedule, coordinate domestic and international travel arrangements, and handle urgent matters.
4-2 Review contracts, reports, and other documents to ensure compliance with Philippine labor laws and business regulations.
4-3 Assist in formulating departmental KPIs, monitor team performance, and drive process optimization.
Qualifications:
1 Bachelor's degree or above; majors in Business Administration, Marketing, Food Science, or related fields preferred.
2 Over 5 years of work experience in the food retail or FMCG industry, preferably familiar with the Philippine market; at least 2 years of managerial experience with cross-cultural team management skills.
3 Fluent in English (for business communication); proficiency in Tagalog preferred; fluency in Mandarin is a plus.
4 Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and other office software, with data analysis skills (e.g., market trend modeling); familiar with Philippine food retail regulations (e.g., Food Safety Law, import policies); excellent business negotiation, crisis management, and project management skills.
5 Highly adaptable, able to quickly integrate into Philippine culture and business environment; strong sense of responsibility, problem-solving ability, and stress resistance; detail-oriented, with strong logical thinking and execution ability.
