We are currently seeking a suitable Junior Architect to support senior architects in the design, development, and documentation of architectural projects. Responsibilities include CAD drafting, SKP modelling, site visits, code research, material selection, and client interaction under supervision.

They collaborate with engineers and consultants, prepare construction documents and specifications, and ensure compliance with regulations and project requirements. This role serves as an entry-level position for professionals to gain practical experience, build technical skills, and work towards architectural licensure.

Key Responsibilities

Design Assistance:

Support senior architects in developing conceptual designs, refining design concepts, and translating them into detailed plans and blueprints.

Documentation:

Prepare detailed drawings, construction documents, specifications, and technical reports for projects.

Technical Skills:

Utilize CAD software, such as AutoCAD and Revit versus SKP schematics, to create and modify technical drawings and models.

Site Analysis & Visits:

Conduct site visits to gather data, assess project progress, and ensure compliance with site-specific conditions.

Code Compliance:

Research and apply relevant building codes, regulations, and standards to ensure project compliance.

Collaboration:

Coordinate with engineers, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure technical accuracy and project coordination.

Client Interaction:

Assist in client meetings, presentations, and discussions to understand requirements and provide updates on project progress.

Project Management Support:

Help manage project tasks, schedules, and documentation, including the assembly of drawing sets and company standards.

Research:

Research materials, construction methods, and industry trends to support design decisions and innovative solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Education:

BS Architecture degree, with 5 years of experience. Preferably licensed.

Technical Proficiency:

Skilled in using CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit) and other architectural modelling tools.

Collaboration:

Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with colleagues and external partners.

Attention to Detail:

Meticulous in reviewing drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Problem-Solving:

Strong analytical and creative thinking to address design challenges and technical issues.

Communication:

Good written and verbal communication skills for client meetings, reports, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Organizational Skills:

Ability to manage multiple tasks, document project details, and maintain organised files.
