The Qualifications We Seek

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's or CPA/CMA preferred)
• 2-3 years of progressive experience in accounting roles, including tax preparation for companies, trusts, sole traders, and individuals
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Proficiency in accounting software (Xero & XPM) is required
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• High level of integrity and attention to detail

Your Daily Tasks

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS
• Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes
• Manage accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, and depreciation schedules
• Prepare and file tax returns, including GST/VAT, TDS, income tax, and other regulatory filings
• Support external audits by providing required documentation and responding to auditor inquiries
• Monitor internal controls and recommend improvements to enhance financial processes
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and other work performed by junior accountants
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure accurate financial data flow and reporting
