PRIMARY JOB ROLE
The IT and Facilities Assistant provides day-to-day technical support to employees regarding computer systems, hardware, software, and network connectivity. The role also assists in the management of facilities maintenance for stores and offices.
YOU WILL
(Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following):
Provide first-level technical support to employees for IT-related issues, including hardware, software, and peripheral devices via email, phone, remote-support tools, or in person.
Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computers, printers, and network devices.
Support the setup, testing, and maintenance of the Point of Sale (POS) system in stores and pop-up events.
Assist in maintaining network infrastructure such as routers, switches, and access points to ensure stable connectivity.
Monitor and report IT assets inventory, usage, and movement across offices and stores.
Ensure proper tagging, recordkeeping, and lifecycle management of IT assets.
Maintain documentation of IT operations, maintenance activities, and system configurations.
Perform data backups and troubleshooting of office applications and systems.
Coordinate with external service providers and suppliers for IT-related repairs or concerns.
Assist in the monitoring of CCTV systems, alarms, and other electronic devices in coordination with the supervisor.
Monitor schedule of maintenance, repairs, replacements, or any required rectification for store and office facilities.
Perform other related duties as may be assigned.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE ROLE
Education
· Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent
Work Experience
· At least 2 years of proven work experience in IT or Technical support, including troubleshooting computers, networks, printers, POS systems, and CCTV
Competency / Training / Skills Required
· Knowledgeable in database management and MySQL
· Demonstrates strong project management abilities, ensures timely follow-through, clear communication, and successful task completion.
· Experienced in facility and infrastructure maintenance management, including coordinating with contractors and service providers.
· Prior experience in a retail environment and with asset management is an advantage.
