Be part of our client's team as an Estimating Engineer I, where you manage document logs, reconcile and update project files, interpret drawings and specifications for cost impacts, input scope and quantities for assigned trades, coordinate with subcontractors, and ensure accurate, timely estimates while supporting smooth collaboration across teams.

What You Bring to the Role

Educational & Experience Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field preferred
• 1-2 years of experience in estimating, preconstruction, or related construction roles
• Proficient in OST, Bluebeam, Box, and Microsoft Office Suite
• Familiarity with Procore, PlanGrid, and Core Services Ticketing System is a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Technical Skills

• Proficient in On-Screen Takeoff (OST), Bluebeam, Box, and Microsoft Excel
• Familiar with CSI divisions and estimating templates
• Able to interpret construction documents and identify cost impacts

Business & Management Skills

• Strong organizational and time-management abilities
• Capable of managing multiple deadlines and prioritizing tasks
• Knowledgeable in estimating workflows and subcontractor coordination

Interpersonal Skills

• Clear and professional written and verbal communication
• Able to build and maintain relationships with subcontractors and internal teams
• Customer-service oriented with a collaborative approach

Your Daily Impact

• Maintain and update document logs including package logs, RFI logs, and drawing logs
• Perform document reconciliation, slip-sheet, and update Box, Bidmail, and PlanGrid/Procore
• Interpret drawings, specifications, addenda, RFIs, and bulletins for cost implications
• Input scope of work and quantities for assigned trades, with a focus on Divisions 10-13
• Ensure subcontractor coverage through outreach, follow-ups, and proposal analysis
• Identify discrepancies, inclusions, and exclusions in subcontractor bids
