This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, wants to learn a specialised trade skill, and takes pride in doing things properly. You don't need to know estimating yet—we'll teach you—but you do need curiosity, reliability, and the attitude to learn fast.

What We're Looking For

A Trainee Plumbing & Drainage Estimator who is:

• Trained in Mechanical Engineering (around 3–4 years is ideal)
• Keen to learn new skills and step into the estimating world
• Reliable, punctual, and steady under pressure
• Comfortable working with numbers and technical drawings
• Happy to ask questions, problem-solve, and work through details
• Good with computers and willing to master estimating software

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing plumbing and drainage plans
• Assisting with quantity take-offs and cost estimates
• Preparing draft quotes under guidance
• Liaising with senior estimators on project requirements
• Keeping project files organised and accurate
• Learning the full estimating workflow from start to finish
