Retail Store Supervisor

Job Summary: The position is responsible for the supervision of sales and operations of the departments/brand assigned. He/she is responsible for the management of properties in the area assigned, products stored and displayed, and the people belonging to the organizational unit.
Job Responsibilities:
A. Management
Department / Brand Sales Management
- Monitors sales performance with the objective of meeting sales targets and recommends resolutions for shortfall sales.
- Prepares and submits forms and reports necessary for the performance of the job.
- Disseminates merchandise facts and information to Sales Personnel and relates the same to customers for proper merchandise handling as well as establishes customer contact through product presentation.
- Liaises between the store and merchandising to coordinate the implementation and communication of marketing programs and information.
- Identifies and recommends bestsellers and key item merchandise.
- Informs Merchandising regarding price discrepancy.
- Attends product training and monthly meetings with Merchandise Managers to align sales objectives.
B. People Handling
- Selects qualified and competent personnel for the section/brand/category.
- Monitors the selling capacity of each sales associate and inventory specialist to ensure the achievement of sales and operational goals.
- Orients, coaches, and trains sales associates and inventory specialists.
- Evaluate performance to ensure productivity and competence.
- Ensures discipline and morale of sales associates and inventory specialists.
- Communicates company policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
- Monitors staff grooming and uniform requirements.
- Allocates work schedules of sales personnel to avoid operational disruptions
C. Customer Service
- Supervises selling operation within the section and sees to it that all customers are well attended to.
- Attends to customer complaints regarding problems encountered on merchandise purchased from the store.
D. Area Management
- Maintains a clean, neat, and organized shopping environment for customers.
- Responsible for merchandise security to prevent pilferage and losses.
E. Visual Merchandising
- Executes visual presentations and merchandise displays based on company and brand standards.
- Supervises the execution of merchandise display in the assigned area ensuring consistency with safety standards and store theme.
- Imbibes and communicates merchandise philosophy and principles to ensure the upholding of the product's image standards.
- Initiates merchandise feedback that can assist in-store merchandise editing.
F. Inventory Management
- Ensures accuracy and completeness of merchandise during movement from receiving to selling area.
- Monitors and controls aging inventory and recommend proper action plans for slow and fast-moving merchandise.
- Guides deliveries to and from the store docking area to ensure that items are properly received on documents and in the system.
- Monitors issuance of GWPs, samples, and other items that helps promote the merchandise in-store.
- Manages store replenishment process to maximize availability and minimize the stock shortage
- Informs and requests for the adjustment of all noted discrepancies.
- Recommends items for dropping and/or donation. (Items below OLA standard, Merchandising decides)
- Reports defective merchandise for proper action.
Job Dimensions
- Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's/College Degree in any field.
- At least 3 to 5 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Required Skill(s): Great in communication and interpersonal skills, Resilience; Excellent Customer Service; Attention to detail; With business acumen; A team player and excellent leadership skills.
- Preferably Supervisor/5 Yrs & Up Experienced Employee specialized in Sales - Retail/General or equivalent.
- Previously handled Home Department is a plus but not required
