About The Role

We're seeking a Payroll & Accounts Officer to help drive efficiency and support critical functions within our finance team, with primary responsibilities in Payroll & Invoicing, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable. This role offers an excellent opportunity to expand your skills and experience while working alongside a collaborative team that values precision, accountability, and clear communication.

What You'll Do

  • Manage all contractors, including onboarding (system setup, document collection, and compliance checks) and on-going maintenance.
  • Ensure all contractor timesheets are submitted and approved on time for payroll processing.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with internal team members and external stakeholders.
  • Accurately process payroll in a timely manner for Australian staff and contractors.
  • Prepare and issue client invoices
  • Perform and manage Accounts Receivable (collections and allocation)
  • Perform Accounts payable function when required
  • Ad-hoc duties as required

What We're Looking For

  • Atleast 3 years experience in a similar role or related field
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proven experience in payroll.
  • Familiarity with Accounting systems such as Xero is highly desirable but not mandatory.
  • Experience with a Timesheet system such as Astute is advantageous
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines under pressure.
