As our firm continues to grow, we are seeking a skilled offshore Bookkeeper / Accountant to join our fully remote, long-term team. This role is ideal for a professional based in the Philippines who is looking for stability, growth, and the opportunity to build a long-term career with an Australian firm.

Your Role:

You will manage day-to-day and month-end bookkeeping tasks for Australian clients across various industries. Using Xero and cloud-based tools, you will ensure accurate records, strong compliance, and timely reporting.

You will work independently while being fully supported by senior team members and the wider KYA team. We value team members who take ownership, communicate proactively, and are committed to continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Daily bookkeeping and financial data entry
• Coding and entering bills and receipts
• Supplier payment processing (including ABA files)
• Payroll processing and superannuation compliance
• Bank reconciliations (AU and international accounts)
• Month-end processes: journals, accruals, adjustments
• BAS, IAS and ATO account reconciliations
• Balance sheet reconciliation, including intercompany loans
• Management reporting and financial insights
• Use of cloud tools such as HubDoc

About You:

You are reliable, detail-oriented, and confident in your Australian bookkeeping expertise. You take pride in accuracy, confidentiality, and ethical work practices.

To be successful, you will have:

• Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of Australian bookkeeping or accounting experience
• 5+ years total experience in bookkeeping or accounting
• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce or related field is mandatory for this position
• CPA or equivalent qualification (preferred but not essential)
• Minimum 2 years experience using Xero (including payroll & multi-currency)
• Strong understanding of Australian payroll, superannuation, and BAS/IAS
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines independently
• Availability to work within AEST 9am–6pm Australian business hours

Technical Requirements:

• Reliable laptop or desktop computer (laptop will be provided after 2months)

• Stable home office with dual monitors

• High-speed internet (minimum 20 Mbps, with backup preferred)

• Noise-cancelling headset

• Ability to work uninterrupted during Australian business hours
