JOB SUMMARY
The role is responsible for leading the service business unit and driving strategic growth through the development and implementation of a comprehensive service revenue model, including service contracts, preventive maintenance agreements (PMA), and ad hoc offerings. It involves delivering both pre-sales and post-sales technical support, such as conducting site assessments, solution sizing, installations, commissioning, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of UPS, PACU, PDU, racks, and other data center solutions. The position also oversees the recruitment, training, and management of service engineers and technicians to ensure high-quality service delivery. Additionally, the role focuses on optimizing service processes, introducing best practices in field service management, and maintaining strong customer relationships by providing detailed service reports, performance insights, and recommendations that enhance customer satisfaction.
DUTIES AND RESPOSIBILITY
Business Unit Leadership & Strategy Develop and implement a service revenue model, including service contracts, preventive maintenance agreements (PMA), and ad hoc service offerings.
Pre-Sales Technical Services Conduct site assessments, solution sizing, and technical presentations for potential customers
Post-Sales Service & Support Manage installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of UPS, PACU, PDU, racks, and other data center solutions.
Team Development & Management Build and lead a team of service engineers and technicians, ensuring they are well-trained and equipped.
Process Optimization & Service Innovation Implement best practices in field service management.
Customer Engagement & Satisfaction Provide service reports and analytics to customers, highlighting performance improvements and preventive maintenance actions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering & Mechanical Engineering is strongly preferred.
- A degree in Industrial Engineering or Data Center Technology/Engineering may also be suitable if paired with relevant experience.
- Professional certifications such as Data Center Certified Associate (DCCA), CDCP/CDCS/CDCE, UPS or power systems certifications, or HVAC/cooling-related certifications are an advantage.
- Postgraduate studies (MBA or Engineering Management) are considered a plus, especially for candidates managing a business unit or service team.
