Roles & responsibilities

As an Assistant Manager in a Project Management Office (PMO) supports the PMO Manager and team in ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and effectively.

Project Execution & Delivery

  • Lead execution of transformation projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Translate strategic objectives into actionable plans and monitor progress against milestones.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (IT, operations, product development, external vendors) to ensure seamless delivery.

Operational Oversight

  • Oversee day-to-day project operations, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and frameworks.
  • Maintain dashboards, reports, and documentation for project governance.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and implement improvements for better productivity.

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Act as a liaison between project teams and senior leadership, providing clear updates on progress, risks, and outcomes.
  • Facilitate stakeholder workshops and ensure alignment on priorities and deliverables.

Agile & Change Enablement

  • Support Agile practices by facilitating Scrum ceremonies and promoting team collaboration.
  • Assist in implementing change management strategies, including readiness assessments and communication plans.
  • Monitor adoption metrics and report on change effectiveness.

Risk & Issue Management

  • Identify and escalate risks or issues impacting project delivery.
  • Work with teams to develop mitigation plans and ensure timely resolution.

Team Development

  • Mentor junior team members, providing guidance on project methodologies and best practices.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.

Learning & Development Support

  • Design and deliver L&D programs aligned with organizational goals.
  • Conduct training needs analysis, manage e-learning platforms, and evaluate effectiveness.
  • Encourage professional development and knowledge sharing.

This role is for you if you have the below

Educational qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Master's degree or MBA preferred.

Work experience

  • Proven experience (7+ years) in transformation delivery, product development, or a similar role in a technology-driven environment.
  • Strong project management skills, with qualifications such as PMP, Agile/Scrum (CSM, SAFe) , Certification in Change Management (e.g., Prosci) or equivalent, being highly desirable.
  • Minimum 1-2 year of recent relevant work experience related to Change Management, Organizational Development, or Human Resource Consulting; experience within a major consulting firm preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage complex projects involving cross-functional teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of digital transformation technologies and methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate, guide, and mentor teams to achieve high performance.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Agility and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with digital transformation initiatives and a good understanding of emerging technologies and trends in the technology sector
  • Proficiency in learning technologies and operational tools.
