Job Description & Key Responsibilities

  • Payroll Processing: Calculate, process, and disburse employee wages, including overtime and bonuses.
  • Data Accuracy: Verify the accuracy of employee data, wage information, and payment details.
  • Compliance: Ensure payroll transactions comply with federal, state, and local laws, as well as company policies.
  • Deduction & Benefit Management: Process and track employee benefits, garnishments, and other required deductions.
  • Reporting: Prepare various payroll reports for management, accounting, and tax purposes.
  • Liaison & Support: Respond to employee inquiries, provide guidance on payroll issues, and coordinate with HR and finance.
  • System Improvement: Help implement and improve payroll processes and systems, identifying and resolving systemic failures.
  • Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate and organized payroll and benefits records.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, data analytics, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SQL, and payroll systems like SAP or Workday.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data analysis skills to interpret and present complex data.
  • Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in calculations and data management.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with employees and other departments.
  • Confidentiality: High ethical standards and discretion when handling sensitive employee information.
