Job Title: Utility Worker – Hog Farm

Job Summary:

The Utility Worker is responsible for performing a variety of tasks to support the overall operations of the hog farm. This includes animal care, facility maintenance, equipment operation, and assisting with various production activities. The role requires a willingness to work in varying conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Animal Care:
  • Assist with feeding, watering, and monitoring the health and behavior of pigs.
  • Help with moving, sorting, and loading/unloading hogs.
  • Observe and report signs of illness, injury, or distress.
  • Assist with breeding, farrowing (birthing), and weaning operations as needed.
  • Facility Maintenance:
  • Clean pens, barns, and equipment regularly to maintain sanitation standards.
  • Pressure-wash buildings and ensure biosecurity protocols are followed.
  • Perform minor repairs on farm buildings, equipment, or infrastructure.
  • Farm Operations Support:
  • Operate equipment like skid steers, feed carts, and power washers.
  • Assist with inventory management and receiving feed or supplies.
  • Support vaccination, tagging, or treatment processes under supervision.
  • Documentation & Compliance:
  • Accurately record animal data (births, weights, treatments, etc.).
  • Follow all safety, animal welfare, and environmental guidelines.
  • Support emergency response (e.g., power outages, animal distress) when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Atleast High Graduate
  • Ability to work in physically demanding, fast-paced environments.
  • Comfort working with animals and in varied weather conditions.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
  • Amenable to work in Quezon Nueva Ecija
  • Willing to work in a stay-in set up

Working Conditions:
