Job Summary:

  1. To ensure on taking tasks and responsibilities attributed by the Head of Animal Health Welfare concerning flocks health issues.
  2. To ensure the safety and efficiency of farm operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Prioritize task and decide on the necessary amount of machinery and number of workers.
  2. Record data and prepare reports on worker attendance, supplies and flock growth and egg production.
  3. Assign tasks such as feeding and treatment of birds, and cleaning and maintenance of chicken houses.
  4. Train workers on bird's care procedures, maintenance duties, and safety precautions.
  5. Establish work schedules and procedures.
  6. Observe birds for signs of illness, injury, or unusual behavior; notifying veterinarians or managers as warranted.
  7. Monitor bird care, maintenance, packing and transfer activities to ensure work is done correctly.
  8. Confer with managers to determine production requirements, conditions of equipment and supplies, and work schedules.
  9. Inspect buildings, fences, fields or ranges, supplies, and equipment in order to determine work to be performed.
  10. Treat bird illnesses or injuries, following experience or instructions of veterinarians.
  11. Study feed, weight, health, or egg production records in order to determine feed formulas and rations and culling schedules.
  12. Enforce sanitation practices to prevent spread of disease.
  13. Transport or arrange for transport of birds, equipment, animal feed, and other supplies to and from worksites.
  14. Submit Work Order Request to Maintenance Personnel for machine/ equipment repair.
  15. Strictly follow GAHP and Animal welfare Standards all the time.
  16. Perform other duties assigned as need arises.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of Veterinary Medicine, Bachelor of Animal Science, BS Agriculture and/or Agricultural Engineering, or any related course.
  • With effective oral and written communication skills;
  • With good leadership qualities and a team player;
  • Candidates must have good analytical and problem solving skills;
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Interest must be in Layer Operations.
  • Applicants must be willing to stay in the farm located at Tarlac / Central Luzon.
