Job Summary

We are seeking a
highly competent and experienced Senior General Accountant
to lead our accounting operations in the Philippines. This role is integral in ensuring
timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting under US GAAP
, while supporting the company's growth across multiple
renewable energy projects
.

The ideal candidate has a
Big 4 background
, solid experience in
corporate bookkeeping, financial forecasting, and audit collaboration
, and a proven ability to
lead and mentor a team
in a fast-paced, international environment.

Key Responsibilities

US GAAP & Financial Reporting

  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes under US GAAP.
  • Prepare a full set of financial statements, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
  • Assist in consolidation and reporting to the parent company.

Audit & Compliance

  • Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants.
  • Ensure audit readiness and internal control compliance.
  • Prepare working papers, schedules, and audit memos.

Management & Team Leadership

  • Supervise junior accountants and review outputs for accuracy and timeliness.
  • Provide ongoing training, performance feedback, and career development support.
  • Oversee daily bookkeeping, AR/AP, payroll entries, and fixed asset tracking.

Forecasting & Budgeting

  • Support the CFO in preparing monthly financial forecasts and variance analyses.
  • Collaborate in annual budgeting and project cost control processes.

System & Process Enhancement

  • Assist in the implementation or transition of accounting systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP).
  • Streamline accounting procedures and ensure alignment with internal policies and global best practices.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or Finance
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA – Philippines or international equivalent)
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a Big 4 firm
  • At least 2 years in general ledger accounting and monthly closings under US GAAP
  • Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Experience working with external auditors and tax consultants
  • Proven supervisory or team management experience

Preferred:

  • Experience in energy, infrastructure, or other capital-intensive industries
  • Exposure to multinational or US-based companies
  • Familiarity with IFRS, SEC reporting, or SOX compliance
  • Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Power Query)
  • Experience using QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, or SAP
