The Opportunity:We are looking for a data-driven and results-oriented Google PPC Manager to lead our paid search acquisition efforts. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of our Google Ads campaigns, from strategy and keyword research to ad creation, optimization, and reporting. You will be a key driver of our growth, connecting with sports organizers, league administrators, and gym owners to bring them onto the Playbook platform. This is a hands-on role for a PPC expert who loves to own a channel and see a direct impact on business success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Campaign Strategy & Execution: Develop, execute, and continuously optimize high-performing PPC campaigns across Google Ads (Search, Display, YouTube, Performance Max).
- Keyword Management: Conduct in-depth keyword research and analysis to identify opportunities for growth. Build and manage comprehensive keyword lists and maintain a robust negative keyword strategy.
- Ad Copy & Creative: Write compelling, high-converting ad copy and collaborate with the design team on creative assets for display and video campaigns.
- Landing Page Optimization: Work with the product and marketing teams to optimize landing pages for conversion, conducting A/B tests to improve performance.
- Budget Management: Manage the paid search budget effectively, ensuring campaigns are paced appropriately and delivering a strong Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) and low Cost Per Acquisition (CPA).
- Performance Analysis & Reporting: Monitor, analyze, and report on campaign performance using Google Ads, Google Analytics, and other reporting tools. Provide clear insights and actionable recommendations to leadership.
- Industry Trends: Stay up-to-date with the latest PPC trends, algorithm updates, and industry best practices to ensure our campaigns remain competitive and effective.
Qualifications:
- 3-5+ years of hands-on experience managing Google Ads campaigns, preferably in a B2B SaaS environment.
- Proven expertise in all aspects of Google Ads, including search, display, and video campaigns.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency with Google Analytics, with a deep understanding of conversion tracking and attribution.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and drive measurable results (CPA, ROAS, LTV).
- Excellent ad copywriting skills with a knack for understanding customer psychology.
- Experience with A/B testing and conversion rate optimization (CRO).
- Ability to work independently and manage projects from start to finish in a remote setting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Bonus Points:
- Google Ads certification.
- Experience with Microsoft Ads (Bing) and/or LinkedIn Ads.
- Familiarity with the sports, fitness, or small business software industries.
- Experience with marketing automation platforms like HubSpot or Marketo.
